The Next Generation of Buffalo Grass
Stampede Hybrid Buffalo is a new premium buffalo grass developed for improved strength, resilience and year-round performance in Australian conditions.
After extensive testing in Australia and the United States, Stampede was selected for its impressive combination of drought tolerance, shade performance, wear recovery, winter colour and low maintenance requirements.
For homeowners throughout Albury Wodonga, Wangaratta and North East Victoria, Stampede offers a tough, attractive lawn capable of handling changing seasonal conditions and everyday family use.
Dark Green Colour & Winter Performance
Stampede delivers a dark green, broad-leaf lawn with improved colour retention through the cooler months, making it well suited to Albury Wodonga’s cold winters.
Excellent Shade Tolerance
With over 75% shade tolerance, Stampede performs well in full sun and shaded areas, requiring as little as two hours of direct sunlight per day.
High Drought Resistance
Stampede offers high drought resistance, maintaining strong turf quality through hot, dry conditions once established—ideal for Albury Wodonga and North East Victoria.
AusGAP Certified Turf
Stampede Hybrid Buffalo is an AusGAP Certified turf variety.
AusGAP certification helps ensure the genetic purity of Stampede throughout the production process, so customers can be confident they are receiving genuine turf with the characteristics the variety was developed to deliver.
Tough Enough for Busy Backyards
Stampede combines strong establishment with high wear tolerance and excellent recovery.
Its vigorous growth helps worn or damaged areas repair quickly during active growing conditions, making it well suited to:
- Family backyards
- Homes with children
- Pet-friendly lawns
- High-traffic outdoor areas
- Residential landscaping
- Commercial landscapes
For homeowners who want a lawn that can handle everyday use without sacrificing appearance, Stampede offers an excellent balance of durability and presentation.
Improved Disease Resistance
One of the most interesting results from Stampede’s Australian trials was its strong disease performance.
During testing in humid summer conditions, Stampede showed excellent resistance while disease affected several other buffalo cultivars being trialled.
This improved disease resistance adds another level of durability for homeowners wanting a dependable, long-term lawn.
